The design professional evaluates the original need and applies engineering principals to present working concepts to the clients. The client then reviews and evaluates the work and provides comments that further define the original need. This process continues until the concept is sufficiently defined to proceed to construction. During the construction phase, the engineer monitors the progress of construction to assure that the clients concept is being realized in the field.
